Build a giant marble run, race a lunar Rover with NASA scientist, experiment with 3D printers, and make your own computer game. In order to creative these marvelous creations, your child can use Expressive Language Skill Builders to practice asking “WH” questions: “WHICH” “WHAT”, “WHERE” “HOW” and “WHY” in order to learn how to build or understand various creations. Parents, you can ask your children relevant “WH” questions as well to assess their comprehension, and to help them clarify their own ideas. If they need help answering, or extending their phrases you can use carrier phrases to encourage a verbal response.

Another great Skill Building area that kids can practice at this event is Non-Verbal Language. At the Faire children can be encouraged to use facial expressions, gestures, eye contact, body proximity and even the tone of voice that is appropriate for interacting with new people, family, or friends at the Faire.
