The Language Link speech-language pathologists are dedicated to serving children, teens, and adults with speech, language, social pragmatic, and executive functioning needs in Montgomery County, MD and Washington DC.

Our approach is holistic and uniquely suited for every individual client. This is accomplished by harnessing the client’s strengths, learning style,  and interests in order to foster motivation, enthusiasm, and progress.

In addition to our bounty of therapy materials, games and apps, curriculum-based work is  often incorporated into our treatment plans in order to promote to carry-over in the classroom. Additionally, our clinicians are trained in various specialized programs and techniques such as Linda Mood Bell (LIPS, Visualizing & Verbalizing), Social Thinking (Michelle Garcia Winner), Talk Yoga, PECS, and Hanen’s “It Takes Two to Talk” to address specific needs of our clients. 

The Language Link maintains relationships with a wide network of local professionals including occupational therapists, physical therapists, psychologists, and learning specialists in order to provide clients with referrals if needed. 

Aviva Krauthammer, M.S., CCC-SLP

Aviva KrauthammerAviva has worked as a certified speech-language pathologist since 2006. She received her Masters of Science from Northeastern University, holds a Certificate of Clinical Competency (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and maintains licenses from the Board of Examiners in Speech Language Pathology in both Maryland and Washington D.C.

Aviva has worked in Boston and the greater Washington DC area in private and public school settings, clinics, and summer enrichment programs.  Her expertise lies in the areas of receptive and expressive language disorders, articulation/speech sound disorders, reading comprehension, as well as social-pragmatic language disorders. One of Aviva’s passions is leading social groups of teens/young adults in problem-solving and navigation social skills within real life settings.  When not working with clients, you may find her taking portraits of family and friends, playing golf and tennis, and exploring DC with her two daughters. 

Suzie Djidjoli, M.S., CCC-SLP

Suzie HeadshotSuzie received her Bachelor’s in Communication Science and Disorders from the University of Pittsburgh and her Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Maryland. She is certified by the American Speech-Language Hearing Association and licensed by the the state of Maryland. Suzie is a speech-language pathologist for Montgomery County Public Schools. She has experience in a variety of clinical settings, including elementary schools, skilled nursing facilities, and therapeutic summer camps. She has expertise in AAC, receptive and expressive language disorders, articulation and phonological disorders, and early childhood voice and fluency disorders. Other areas of interest include the effect of bilingualism in language disorders and selective mutism.

Erin Joseph-Hamilton, M.S., CCC-SLP

Erin is a school-based speech-language pathologist with strong clinical skills in articulation, phonological, expressive-receptive, and pragmatic language disorders. She is deeply passionate about working with children on functional communication skills and the use of alternative and augmentative communication (AAC). Her experience in the schools has allowed her to grow her expertise with a wide range of disabilities, severity levels, and ages. 

Erin strongly believes that therapy is the most successful when it is fun and the child feels supported and encouraged by their therapist. Through fostering a strong connection with her clients and designing inherently rewarding therapy activities, students are excited to learn new skills and take pride in their progress. 

Erin received her master’s degree in Speech and Language Pathology from the University of Maryland, College Park. She holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and is licensed by the state of Maryland.
