WHO: Participants between the ages of 18-25
WHERE: Rotation of three fast-casual restaurants in Bethesda, MD (near Bethesda metro)
WHEN: Wednesdays 5:40pm-6:30pm. June 11-August 20th
Facilitated by a certified speech-language pathologist, the meetings target the following areas:
- Conversation skills, including how to initiate and maintain topics of conversation
- Small talk, and participating in discussions about non-preferred topics
- Perspective taking
- Meal time etiquette
- Body language and spacial awareness
- Social problem solving skills using personal situations and clinician-prompted scenarios
- How to coordinate social outings with friends
